The use of a heavy bottom chain will add strenth to your mooring and reduce the angle of pull on the anchor itself.The weight of this chain will help to absorb the shock by lifting slightly when the boat pulls back.A swivel between the top and bottom chains will let the boat swing without kinking the chain.A smaller top chain will go from the bottom chain to the mooring ball and will create an arc when the boat pulls back.
All mooring chain is Gr 43 long link. The same chain we use on over 1000 moorings we service.
